Caravansérail’s mandate encompasses research, production and dissemination in the visual arts, with a notable focus on promotion and support for emerging artists and practices. Since its creation in Rimouski in 2003, Caravansérail has distinguished itself through its multidisciplinary projects, inspired by the diverse regional characteristics of the communities of the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. Focusing on the emerging artist, experimentation and creation, the centre seeks to create points of intersection between its areas of research and the general public.
