SAGAMIE is a centre for research, creation and production specializing in digital image processing and large-format digital printing.
Each year, SAGAMIE welcomes forty artists-in-residence from Quebec, Canada and abroad. They are supported in their creative process by the centre’s team of artist-technicians, and work in a large laboratory equipped with four large-format digital printers.
The centre’s publishing activities focus on monographs, artist books and reference works. SAGAMIE thus supports artistic and literary creation, theoretical and critical reflection, and the dissemination and promotion of artworks and artists.
SAGAMIE’s exhibitions promote the development of the visual arts by presenting works created by its artists-in-residence. Underpinning artistic exploration and creation, they encourage risk-taking and promote reflection and the emergence of new forms of expression, as well as ensuring their reception by a variety of audiences.
