It was in 2003, following many pranks and playful exchanges, that Collectif Taupe was established within the walls of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre in Moncton. This was the unexpected outcome of several well-received performances by the four members of the collective: artists Jennifer Bélanger, Jean-Denis Boudreau, Angèle Cormier and Mario Doucette. Taupe creates and presents striking projects in unusual settings. Their work encourages public interaction in view of generating dialogue and reflection on various social issues and concerns.
