Established in 1991, Galerie B-312 promotes research and development in the visual arts through its extensive program of activities, including exhibitions, performances, studio visits, conferences, roundtable events, publications and concerts. The gallery supports artists at various stages in their careers and encourages diversity in contemporary art practices. It is a platform for critical discussion and exchange on practices and discourses that foster creation. The gallery’s various projects ensure its presence on the local, national and international art scenes.
Located at the heart of Montreal’s city centre in a building housing numerous galleries and artist-run centres, Galerie B-312 benefits from high visibility—a concrete means to support artists and their practices and to promote contemporary art.
Aiming to expand its community and to decompartmentalize the various art practices, Galerie B-312 promotes an approach of openness, respect and curiosity in experimentation, risk-taking and research.
