Trap\door ARC is a non-profit artist-run centre founded in 2004, dedicated to the promotion of challenging and critical contemporary visual art.

We are a community-supported, artist-run platform for contemporary art. We encourage untested and emerging art practices and support artists at the early stages of their careers. Nomadic and wayfinding, Trap\door operates outside a fixed location; we have no permanent exhibition space. Exhibitions and other forms of presentation are developed in close consultation with artists and are based on project requirements. Trap\door pays artist fees and dedicates its resources, local expertise and volunteer efforts to projects, publications, our annual Gushul Studio Residency and providing public access to artists and their work.
