Created in 1985, VOX has supported research and dissemination by enabling artists, exhibition curators and other researchers to contribute to artistic experimentation, reflection and the development of critical disourse on image-based practice and exhibition from 1960 to the present day.

VOX’s programming explores diverse lines of research (comprised of exhibitions, publications, conferences, film projections, seminars, web archives and media activities), which are carried out by its working groups over two- to three-year horizons. This dissemination model rests upon VOX’s interest in working in partnerships on collective projects that promote discussion and debate about contemporary art and society, and facilitate encounters with diverse audiences.

VOX is a non-profit organization and a member of the RCAAQ and Art actuel 2-22.
