Our mandate is to ensure that Indigenous artists within the city of Regina and surrounding areas are consistently provided with space and an environment that allows them to develop their self-determined artistic practices through critical exchange with their peers and audiences. While a significant portion of programming is derived from its members, Sâkêwêwak (Sakewewak) accepts submissions from individual artists, community and partners practicing in visual, media, collaborative and interdisciplinary forms. We encourage projects that address contemporary Indigenous issues, engage community (especially youth) and professional development.
