Sans-atelier is a Francophone collective whose mandate is to support artistic activity and production in the visual arts, media arts and writing in Saskatoon, and elsewhere in Saskatchewan and Canada. The collective’s objective is to organize arts activities and events, such as exhibitions, talks, art performances, workshops and readings. The centre also offers support to emerging artists by encouraging contacts between them and established artists, and through partnerships with other arts organizations. Sans-atelier promotes Francophone art activity in Saskatchewan without excluding English and Aboriginal communities. Payment of artists’ fees and royalties in accordance with professional organizations (CARFAC, Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, etc.) is one of the centre’s priorities.
