Connexion ARC was funded in 1984 with a mandate:

- To promote experimental contemporary art practices, with an emphasis on emerging artists and issues of social urgency.
- To support the professional development of its artist-membership.
- To function as a supportive, open and equitable space for the discussion of contemporary art.
- To function in a responsive and flexible manner, mirroring the experimental nature of contemporary art.

Connexion ARC is excited about new and challenging work that engages with contemporary art discourse and expands upon the conditions of contemporary visual art production.

With an expanded understanding of “site”—including print and on-line “spaces”—we encourage submissions for off-site projects by artists whose work is not easily presented within a traditional gallery space.
